Chicken Goulash

cloves garlic, minced | |
|

carrots, sliced | |

sweet green peppers, chopped | |

caraway seeds | |

chicken stock | |

stewed tomatoes | |

sour cream | |

all-purpose flour | |

chopped fresh parsley | |

Remove skin from chicken | |
|

|
In Dutch oven, brown chicken over medium-high heat, in batches, until golden | |

Remove from pan and set aside | |
|

Drain off fat from pan | |
|

Add onions and garlic, cook over medium heat, stirring for 5 minutes | |

Add carrots, green peppers, paprika, caraway, salt, pepper and chili powder, cook, stirring for 2 minutes | |

Add chicken stock and tomatoes, stirring to scrape up brown bits | |
|

|
Return chicken to pan | |
|

|
Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 40 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink inside | |

Remove to platter, cover and keep warm | |

In small bowl, combine sour cream and flour until smooth | |

Stir into pan, simmer, stirring, until thickened | |
|

Pour over chicken | |
|

|
Garnish with parsley | |
